Most commonly, a pale, refreshing, moderately-bitter, Belgian ale with a very dry finish. Alcohol content varies from table strength beers as low as 3% to strong beers over 8%. Typically highly carbonated, and using non-barley cereal grains and optional spices for complexity, as complements the expressive yeast character that is fruity and/or spicy.
